Guided Tours of the Art Biennale 2024

Adriano Pedrosa, born in 1965 in Rio de Janeiro, artistic director of the MASP and with a significant experience in many international exhibitions,  is the curator of the 2024 Art Biennale which will run from April 20th through November 24th.
The year the Biennale welcome over 330 artists, many showcased for the first time in an international context.
The exhibition is divided into various sections, including the Historic Core (Nucleo Storico) which explores global Modernism and Modernism in the Global South. Rooms will be devoted to Portraits from 1905 to 1990 and to Abstractions. featuring artists from Korea, Singapore, New Zealand. Another section is dedicated to Italian artistic diaspora in the 20th century.
Key concepts to understanding the contemporary core of this 2024 Biennale include Textiles, explored by numerous artists, works by indigenous artists, queer artists, outsider artists and folk artists. These themes reflect Pedrosa's curatorial vision, focusing on a variety of artistic expressions that range from the traditional to the contemporary, from the artisanal to the revolutionary.
My guided tours, designed for small groups or individuals, help orientate oneself among the projects and works and insert them into the great themes debated today.
I'll run tours through the Arsenale and the Giardini from May 6th. Please consider that the most crowded time is from mid-September to the end of the Biennale. My advice its to plan the visit during the weekdays.
My tours last generally 2 to 3 hours. If you wish a longer visit, we can split it in two half days.
My fee for a two-hour tour of the highlights either in the Giardini or in the Arsenale and up to 4 people is 200 €. Each extra hour is 100 €.
