Der Blick hebt sich, und zwischen den goldenen Rahmen der Decken erscheint Venedig.<\/p>\n<p>Vor dem Hintergrund eines lapislazuliblauen Himmels herrscht sie weiterhin, die unver\u00e4nderliche K\u00f6nigin der Meere.<br> Blond, triumphierend, mit dem Zepter in der Hand, in Gold und Hermelin gekleidet oder w\u00e4hrend sie die Krone empf\u00e4ngt: Venedig als K\u00f6nigin. So stellten sie Paolo Veronese in der Renaissance und zwei Jahrhunderte sp\u00e4ter Tiepolo, sein produktiver Nachfolger, dar.<\/p>\n<p>In der Renaissance war Venedig die Hauptstadt einer m\u00e4chtigen Republik, und ihr Bild musste K\u00fcnstlern anvertraut werden, die f\u00e4hig waren, die kulturelle Strategie der Regierung in Kunst umzusetzen. Der Austausch von Gesten und Blicken zwischen den beiden K\u00f6niginnen besiegelt das B\u00fcndnis zwischen Venedig und der m\u00e4chtigsten G\u00f6ttin des Olymps.<\/p>\n<p>Mehr als zwanzig Jahre sp\u00e4ter hinterlie\u00df Veronese im Saal des Collegio ein weiteres majest\u00e4tisches Bild der K\u00f6nigin der Meere: auf einem Thron unter einem Baldachin sitzend, mit dem Blick auf einen unsichtbaren Horizont gerichtet. <br>\nZu ihren F\u00fc\u00dfen stehen Gerechtigkeit und Frieden, gekleidet in Seide und Brokat, wie Dienerinnen eines gerechten und sicheren Reiches. Die eine h\u00e4lt das Schwert und die Waage, die andere einen Olivenzweig; gemeinsam bilden die drei Figuren eine Komposition, in der das Schicksal des venezianischen Imperiums scheinbar in festen weiblichen H\u00e4nden liegt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Einige Jahre sp\u00e4ter wurde Veronese mit der Schaffung eines Triumphierenden Venedigs f\u00fcr die Decke des Gro\u00dfen Rates beauftragt, des Saals, in dem sich die Adligen versammelten, um die Republik zu regieren.\nDie K\u00f6nigin erscheint erneut, prunkvoll in Gold, zwischen gedrehten S\u00e4ulen und einer Menge von Menschen, die ihr zujubeln. Der Sieg naht mit der Krone, doch diesmal, trotz des \u00dcberschwangs der sie umgebenden Draperien und Farben, scheint Venedig die Last dieser Ehre zu sp\u00fcren. Ihr Blick wendet sich ihrem Volk zu, doch es ist ein unsicherer, vielleicht melancholischer Blick im Vergleich zu der pr\u00e4chtigen Herrscherin, die f\u00fcr das Collegio gemalt wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Auf der Balustrade erscheinen adlige Frauen mit ihren Kindern und Ammen: Wieder einmal entfaltet sich die Allegorie der Macht durch weibliche Figuren \u2013 die in der Realit\u00e4t wenig Autonomie und noch weniger politischen Einfluss hatten.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Betrachtet man diese Werke in chronologischer Reihenfolge, scheint Veroneses K\u00f6nigin mit ihm zu altern: von der vertr\u00e4umten jungen Frau vor Juno zur unersch\u00fctterlichen Herrscherin, gest\u00fctzt von Gerechtigkeit und Frieden, bis hin zum Triumph, der von einem zu hohen Preis belastet scheint.<\/p>\n<p>Zwei Jahrhunderte sp\u00e4ter bot Gian Battista Tiepolo, der letzte gro\u00dfe Verf\u00fchrer der venezianischen Kunst, Sch\u00f6pfer einer sinnlichen Welt aus nacktem Fleisch, Juwelen und Seide, im Saal der Vier T\u00fcren das Bild einer K\u00f6nigin, die in Thema und lebendigen Farben an Veronese erinnert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Die geflochtenen blonden Haare, die Krone auf dem Kopf und das Hermelin erinnern an den fernen Meister, doch das flimmernde Licht, das die Materie fast aufl\u00f6st, das dunklere Blau des Himmels und die schweren Augenlider erz\u00e4hlen von einer gro\u00dfartigen und m\u00fcden Herrscherin.
